Cleve holds an undergraduate degree in General Business from Auburn University and a Masters of Science in Community Counseling from the University of South Alabama. Cleve chose to become one of a select group of planners who have met the rigorous requirements necessary to call themselves Certified Financial Planner™ professionals. Certified Financial Planner™ professionals are qualified to help people with their investments, solve financial problems, and make a plan to achieve their goals.
Cleve’s early career included managing Healthcare at Home, a full service home medical equipment company in Mobile, Alabama. As a result of family experiences and his experiences at Healthcare at Home, Cleve has worked extensively helping people protect themselves from the risk of long term care expenses. After working with thousands of people to help them manage their long term care risk, Cleve also saw a need for independent, objective financial planning and investment advice, leading Cleve to form Gantt Financial Advisors, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor in the state of Alabama.
Cleve is a native of Baldwin County, and lives in Spanish Fort, Alabama. Cleve is an active member of his church where he has served in a number of capacities, including as Chairman of the Deacon Board and leader of small group Bible studies. Cleve is a member of the Gulf States Financial Planning Association where he serves as secretary and Board Member. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Daphne-Spanish Fort where he is a Board Member, past President and Paul Harris Fellow. Cleve also serves on the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service Forestry Advisory committee. Cleve is married to Fonda and they have one daughter, Sally, who is currently studying biology at the University of Mobile.
Fonda has a BS in Social Science from the University of Southern Indiana. After a number of years working in the public relations and marketing field, Fonda choose to change careers to assist Cleve with long term care insurance and financial planning. Most of Fonda’s time is spent in handling day to day office work . She does have an insurance license and frequently converses with clients about insurance and financial planning.
Gantt Financial Advisors, LLC came into being as a result of the need for independent, objective financial advice and investment advice. Conflicts of interest are inevitable in the financial services business, but they can be reduced. When there are conflicts of interest, they are disclosed. We disclose how we are compensated so there is no question about how we are compensated. We chose to be independent because we believe it helps reduce the conflicts of interest. We are compensated by our clients, rather than an employer. We have a fiduciary obligation to our clients, which means we are obligated to work in the best interest of our clients. We strive to maintain a relationship based on trust and service by being a servant and having the heart of a teacher. We work to teach and assist our clients in being good stewards of their finances patterned after biblical wisdom.
